ELMGATE & THATCHAM RAILWAY

009 MODEL LAYOUT

Overview of Elmgate Station

Overview of Elmgate Station

My 009 model railway – ELMGATE STATION – is available for exhibition. 009 is to 4 mm scale, on 9 mm gauge track, representing narrow gauge railways of 2 ft 3 in gauge. (See the “009 Society” link).

The layout stands approximately 1 m high, and has its own supports. All boards are 450 mm deep, except the middle which is 300 mm. The total length is approximately 3.15m (10ft). An area about 750 mm deep required behind for operators – a table will be placed in this area for stock repairs etc.

Below the layout is curtained from the viewing side. An access way is needed at either end, this access may of course be shared with adjacent exhibits. Subject to this, the other end of the layout may be hard against a wall, or adjacent exhibit. (Access at both ends would be a luxury!). Contact me for more details (including a full description for Exhibition Guide).

See the trackplan here.

The Model has been developed over several years, and featured in RAILWAY MODELLLER in Mar/April 2007.

I have posted pictures of the layout through the years - HERE.
