Welcome to My Web and Blog

27 October 2008

My name is Tim Sanderson. I am aged 55, married to Janet, and we have one son – Christopher, aged 22.

Janet is a freelance Hairdresser, and we both enjoy (some!) films, musicals, theatre etc. We try to eat out frequently, but do not consider ourselves experts at any of the above.

Christopher followed his Mum into a hairdressing apprenticeship; however, he has now changed ships, and is studying photography, media and IT A level.

Until the end of 2003, I worked for the local electricity Distribution Company. I am now “self-employed” as a consultant, and have more time to pursue my hobbies! I originally trained as an electrical engineer. I now apply these skills, and others learned over the years to the national Electricity Supply Industry, and Model Railways.

We have several interests:

Christianity – We worship at Lindfield United Reformed Church, near Haywards Heath, West Sussex, (UK). The Church has our own site

Janet enjoys Line Dancing, and is better at it than she gives herself credit for!

Chris enjoys pretty well anything to do with Computers.

I also enjoy Steam Railways – Full size, Miniature, and Model, primarily Narrow Gauge based. I appreciate any Railway topics, and anything steam operated, on Road, Rail or Water!

The rest of this site covers my railway interests – Elmgate Models.
